Triangulate among this chosen position in theory, a curated set of prior projects, and ongoing individual interests.
Focus on the engagement of local tacit knowledge, for instance in the practice of commoning.
Adopt a particular place, constituency, resource flow, and system design amid which to engage these latent possibilities.
Create a browsable narrative, in which to take a position, report an investigation, respond to the collective energy of the seminar, and begin a studio project brief.

Start by iterating many times on something, anything, whether object, actor, situation, component, process stage, or strategic option.
Quickly exercise one’s own visual method to produce a first self-explanatory artifact.
Return to the seminar’s question about working in a world of systems. What is the systems context from which the project is taking form?
Develop one or more design objects at street level.
Describe a component architecture in a context of engagement.
Tell a story of making use. How does the project change a situation? How does it get beyond both designer and individual uses to express a local difference?
